Peter Ward wanted a better way to organize his family. A tech guy at heart, Pete wanted to fulfill the promise that technology can improve your life. Initially, his idea was a stand alone application. But after discussions with friend Patrick Alphonso they brainstormed an idea that would combine family organization and household management with social networking and the ubiquitious Internet. The idea of Family Resource Management (FRM) was conceived. A hybrid of the highly successful Customer Resource Management (CRM) model, FRM builds upon the same needs and applies them to the family. Fircle (a mix of family and circle) was financed and developed by Peter and Patrick. In development for 14 months, Fircle also served as the basis for Patrick's master's thesis. |
